Family Movie Night: The Santa Clause

Family and friends are invited to the library for a night of holiday fun as we screen the movie The Santa Clause on Wednesday, December 20th at 5pm.

We’ll have plenty of pizza, snacks, and refreshments available. Feel free to come in your pajamas!

Registration is required (so we know how much pizza to order!), so please contact the library at 401-635-8562 if you are interested. We hope you’ll join us for this festive event!

Living Literature: A Christmas Story

Living Literature — the collective of RI-based artists and educators who teach literature through live performance — will visit the library for a presentation of Jean Shepherd’s A Christmas Story Wednesday, December 6th at 6:30pm.

The 40-minute presentation recounts Shepherd’s Duel in the snow, or Red Rider Nails the Cleveland Street Kid, from which the 1983 classic movie, A Christmas Story was taken. The story relates the comic tale of a mid-western, Depression-era child who yearns for an official Red Ryder air rifle for Christmas.
