The Friends Run on Donations

Below, you will find a link to a letter from the board of the Friends of the Brownell Library, who through gracious donations make programs possible at the library! They also generously sponsor great additions to the library collection such as our popular T-Mobile Hot Spots.

Become a Friend of the library today by donating to this wonderful Non-Profit and then come by the library to see all of the wonderful things these donations bring you, our beloved patrons.

Join us at the library as we welcome former reporter and editor for the Boston Globe, Richard Higgins. Higgins will be speaking about his book entitled Thoreau and the Language of Trees. He will share with us an exploration of Thoreau’s keen observation of trees, his creative response to them as a writer, and trees as his spiritual companions.

Wednesday, Oct 26th at 6 PM — A Night with Local Author, Rosemary Colt

Join us at the library for a night with Rosemary Colt, former Little Compton resident who recently published a memoir. Her book, As Far As I Can See: A Memoir “began as an attempt to write about a beloved husband’s last year and his battle with dementia and illness. But it soon became the life story of two people from different backgrounds who married young but made it work.”
